PROPERTY OVERVIEW

The property consists of 1.57 hectares (3.9 acres) on the Pacific slope of the Tilaran Mountains, less than a kilometer from the Continental Divide and the northeastern border of Puntarenas province.
The property is framed by a mountain stream (Quebrada Santamaria) with 2 waterfalls and a forested slope to the east, a graveled agricultural right-of-way (servidumbre agricola) to the west, and a magnificent view of the Gulf of Nicoya to the southwest.
It offers two comfortable houses surrounded by protected wildlife refuges, numerous gardens, and extensive lawns and windbreaks. The town of Santa Elena is 2.5 kilometers to the south.
The three-bedroom main house, has 2400 square feet and an open first floor design with large “floor to ceiling” windows that provide a sense of being out of doors always. The first floor has a large great-room with wood stove and a spacious kitchen with an island, walk-in pantry, dishwasher, and hood over the electric stove. A small dinette is adjacent to the kitchen and faces the view of the gulf.
The large master bedroom has a walk-in closet, bathroom with tub and shower, a small private deck, and grand views of forest and gardens through large windows. A second bedroom opens onto the foyer, and it is adjacent to second bathroom with a shower. It also has a small deck that is surrounded by gardens. Both first-floor bedrooms have sliding glass doors opening onto individual small covered decks. There is an open office area at the top of the stairs with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Nicoya. Adjacent is the third bedroom with a half-bath and a wonderful view of gardens and a forested mountainside. Extensive storage is available in the adjacent walk-in "attic."
This larger house comes with tool/gardening shed, carport, greenhouse & "chicken house."
The smaller house has 1090 square feet and has a similar floor plan to the first floor of the main house. It is one story with two bedrooms and 1 ½ bathrooms.
The similar but smaller kitchen has an island, walk-in pantry, gas stovetop and electric oven, and hood. The main bathroom has a shower and bathtub; the half bath is partitioned from the laundry room. Also adjacent to the laundry room is a secure storage room. The “master bedroom” has 2 large windows with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Nicoya. Both bedrooms are of similar size and have ample closet space.
